Just watching the game again - how good a finish was Garry's goal!? Considering his position and where the ball's played to him, to take it as calmly and cooly as he did, and finding the gap in the goals left by the keeper, was very skillful.

Also, the goal came because he was alert enough to chase down the ball breaking off of Ozzy's shot, when everyone else left it. Well done Gaz!

He played a HUGE part today. Not only the goal but a fantastic pass for Griffith's goal too! :top marks

Agreed :agree:

Was surprised to hear them say on the radio that GOC was offside for the move in the second goal. Have watched it a number of times and cannae see how they've reached that conclusion

I thought both of our goals were class.

Sparky could have leathered the shot and hoped for the best, but instead, he knew exactly where he was going to put it and done it as calmly as you like.

They're turning out to be a very good strike force.

O'Connor's been great in his last 3 or so games. Been more like the player from earlier on in the season. Think he still has a few pounds to shed, but his goal and his assist for Sparky today were ultimately the difference between the two teams. Seems to be enjoying his football again, and while we're reaping the benefits I'll be delighted.

Get on that treadmill Gaz, and come next month, go and make yourself a Scottish cup winner.

:agree: It's a great point in the season to find a bit of form!

Watch it again. When McPake heads the ball GOC is clearly half a yard off before moving away from goal to knock a great ball into Griffiths path.

A break we were definitely due from refs this season.

Thought the front 2 were superb today. You could see what it meant to them both at full time as both were in the crowd before the ref had his whistle out his mouth:greengrin

On the subject of goals, can anyone post them online as BBC don't allow overseas fans to view their highlights. Would love to see them again. Thanks.

Watched it a few times now with the pause button and nowhere near half a yard offside, very slightly off level but would be impossible to call in the sequence of events and the standard of officiating in this league, surprised more that Mcpake not called for a foul on the header

:agree:

The sheep fans seem to have forgotten that earlier in the season they beat us solely because of one of their players cheating for a pen. That win was the start of a 14 game unbeaten run for them - if it had gone the other way, who's to say it wouldn't have been us that went on that run?

Anyway, it was Justice today :agree:

O'Connor was marginally offside, but the decision not being given had no effect. The Aberdeen defence didn't appeal and kept playing as if he'd been onside.

It's the sort of call that had it been at our end and they'd scored, I'd have shrugged my shoulders.

While our Garry scored the first goal with ease, the Dons keeper should have been shot. His positioning was garinga !, if that had been Stack he would have been slaughtered nice to know its not only our goalies that muck-up.:greengrin
