This is probably inaccurate, but it assumes the Huns financial corrupt cheating practices started at the beginning of the Murray era, in 1987. In anywhere but Scotland, such 'wins' would be null and void and the subsequent benefactors would be:

SPL TITLES

Celtic 10
A’deen 5
Hearts
M’well

SC CUP

Airdrie
A’deen 2
Hearts
Celtic 2
QOS
Falkirk

LEAGUE CUP

Celtic 4
A’deen 2
Hibs
Hearts
Ayr
M’well
Dundee Utd
St. Mirren

With Hearts getting an SPL, SC and LC to our solitary LC, I'd be tempted to vote against Hun trophy revoking.

You would never get a paranoid, put-on Celtic fan to agree, but the real set of fans who should be angry should be Aberdeen. They might not have been 'famous any more' since the 80's, but this shows the Ferguson revolution had enough juice to carry their ascendancy on other decade, had the Huns not hovered up everything using dirty money.

Nope, if the SPL pass this 'Save the Huns article' they've signed Scottish Football's execution order.

Hearts are awarded a league title whilst we still don't even get a Scottish Cup!! Perhaps we're being too hard on Rangers

Hibs have been knocked out of the Scottish Cup several times by Rangers over this period, so how does anyone know if Hibs would not have won the Cup at least once.

When Hearts are exposed as cheating bassas, will the 2006 Cup be awarded to Gretna or Hibs?

:agree:

Good point.

If you replace all of Rangers results during that period with 3-0 defeats, Hibs would have won the league in 94-95, not Motherwell.

A few stats for those that thought Alex Millar's teams too boring

"The season began on 13 August with the first goal of the season scored by Hibernian's Billy Findlay as they won 5-0 at home to Dundee United."

In terms of the league are you just awarding it to who finished 2nd or are you removing all of rangers results and recalculating the league ?

Might be a different outcome.

The season we finished 3rd to Motherwell, if you strip out the Rangers results against Motherwell and us (which, I believe is what you would do as these games become null and void) we would end up level with Well and would have a better Goal Difference - so we would be Champions!!!

What season was this? And where were Celtic?

94-95. Celtic were fourth and lost the league cup final to Raith Rovers. Not their finest hour although they did beat us 3-1 after a replay in the Scottish cup semi and then won the cup.

It certainly is inaccurate:

Benefactor: A person who gives support to a person or cause.

The word you were looking for is probably 'beneficiaries'.

Is 'pedantry' the right word for what I've just done?

It is inaccurate in that the Murray era did not start until he purchased the club on 23 November 1988.
