Is it not illegal for a news paper to "report" a story, when there is nothing to report?

This is remarkably quick.

They still haven't apologised for 'Hurrah for the blackshirts' 70+ years on. Well, not of their editorials and reporting is anything to go by anyway.

Good for Hibs for obviously getting the lawyers involved straight away.

I wonder when the Daily Express will issue their apology? I heard earlier this week that they had been in touch with Fife Hyland wanting him to lift the banning of the Express from ER, I would assume that the Mail's ban has been lifted so the Express are the only one out in the cold, not a position they wish to be in in a cup s/f week.

I presume their sincere apology  was hidden away at the bottom of page ten, whilst the original story took up the back page? Terrible 'newspaper'.

The Club are also due an apology from the Edinburgh Evening News, The Daily Express, Charlie Nicholas and the rest of the lazy bassa pundits who chose to repeat the story rather than check out the authenticity of the information.

You really need to check his passport. More to the point, what about these immigrants playing in the Scottish Cup - should they be allowed to enter?

We lost our right to decide who can play in the Scottish Cup when we allowed the penpushers in Brussels to dictate to us.

Did Leigh have anything to do with Dianas death by the way?

Who knows? I'm more concerned about potential welfare scrounging immigrants like Jorge Claros, who may well be carrying TB and putting extra pressure on an overburdened NHS. What about OUR human rights? :grr:

Apparently the whole training ground spat started when Fenlon told Sparky to complete a jigsaw puzzle that he'd gotten back at Christmas.

He couldn't make it up.

Leigh is actually the owner of the lesbian bar that her driver was drinking in before the fatal journey. You can draw your own conclusions.

I heard they use Poles for corner flags at East Mains. Surely there are British teenagers who would kill for a job like that?

Yes, he showed him the wall round the ground, and Leigh hasn't gotten over it yet.

Not bein funny, but if the Porkugeese police wer better at thr jobs, then we wouldn't be havin this convers. :agree: Hayley24

Sir

I find the gratuitous insults directed at a great British institution such as the Daily Mail to be extremely offensive and further evidence that socialists have encouraged a decline in standards of decency since my youth. I look forward to the return of public hangings for those responsible.

Yours faithfully
Outraged of Edinburgh.

They ARE forced to retract stories. A lot. But grudgingly.
They are also one of the most regular FOI requesters to govt depts and councils, usually trying to find evidence of 'liberals trying to cancel Christmas to avoid offense to Muslims'-type stories. (and causing unnecessary and timeconsuming waste in the public sector, ironically).

a prime example here...
