View Full Version : So who's renewed?

Jamesie
04-04-2012, 09:15 PM
Promised myself I wouldn't renew the season ticket - uneconomical, given I've missed about half a dozen games this season; games are getting moved around constantly, meaning the fans are getting mucked about all over the place; plus the product on the park doesn't really justify £405; if RanNewCo is born and admitted to the SPL it makes a mockery of the whole thing.

However 3/4 of a bottle of a lovely Argentinian Malbec has me wondering if I should put all this to the side and sign up for another season of what metaphorically equates to domestic abuse.

Anyone else in the same position - almost the eve of the early bird renewal deadline and sitting on the fence?

Yeah, I've missed at least 3 home games this season, and may miss 1 more if my train home from London on 7th may is delayed. The cash is a stretch, and I have almost hated going this year. It's been a real chore.

BUT

I know if I didn't get a ST, I would probably start to go less and less, I enjoy the pre match socialising, and things can only get better eh :aok:

So, me, my son, my dad, 3 uncles, and cousin have all renewed, and I know that the 4 we drink with pre match are also all renewing.

I'm going to renew on Thursday, you just do it hoping this is the year. It would be a better question to ask who isn't renewing just to gauge a feel for how many ST holders we're going to loose. I dont think I want to know the answer to that though! We're all pee'd off but hopefully despite the prices and performances we can stick by the club we love...again. Last time though :fibber:

Will be down at the Stadium tomorrow to renew for me and my daughter.

Thinking that Pat will need some funds to wheel and deal in the summer.

The Early Bird package is a good deal in my opinion, and I've always renewed on the basis of making my small contribution and the convenience that a Season Ticket brings

Yeah, pleased to say I've renewed. It's a habit I first got into in '71 and think it'll stay wi' me 'til I pop my clogs, especially since as of last Tuesday I qualify for old codgers' season ticket rates.

I renewed, given the amount of games I missed this season and going from a student to adult season ticket it was a difficult decision. Though the membership would have been a better option but in the end renewed. Looking forward to next season already.

Wasn't going to renew until very very recently but decided to go for it online tonight (4/4/12) and pay the whole amount only for a message to come up saying check that you have one of the recognized cards- I have indeed got a recognized card, but something tells me that Hibs are so backward that they still don't accept debit cards, which in my opinion is an absolute disgrace. I'll try and do it over the phone tomorrow and if they tell me the same thing I definitely won't be renewing.

I'm still not sure if I want to renue or not. £405 for a season ticket is pretty steep, especially for what we have been watching for the last few years, and as many have said above, when you miss 4 or 5 games a season, you start to think it might be cheaper to just PATG. I'm not really buying the whole early bird offer either. I don't have kids, free old firm tickets is not benefitting me. The free top offer was possibly the only thing that interested me.
Was also a bit gutted they don't have the interest free payment plan anymore, but to be fair to hibs on that one, I think it might have been quite hard to run.
No doubt I'll be down at the ticket office tomorrow...

2 of the group of 6 who sit together in the East have renewed and I've got the forms for the other 4 to hand in today.

Renewing in hope rather than expectation with the caveat that if the huns go into liquidation and get straight back in the SPL then I'll think really hard about trying to get a refund and chucking the whole thing altogether. Even with sanctions for the huns the whole set up would stink.

Me, brother, brother-in-law,who was swithering and nephew all renewed on Family basis last Friday ahead of Caley game. We won't go down and we will be better next season, no doubts at all, none. We've improved under Fenlon and we will get better with the inclusion of young Stanton next year. The type of player that he is is a major reason that I decided to renew. This kid is worth watching and that is were we should be increasing efforts and investments to produce our own players like him.

If I didn't renew I would end up not attending half the games even though I could make it. Having a ST makes me go regardless of the circumstances. I feared that not getting a ST would stop me going to ER as often due to recent performance/board treatment.

I'm up for it. Not had a season ticket for a couple of years - due to budgettary reasons. But what the hell !!! Lets do it.

Trying to purchase ......... but since the Hibbys have update their site extending the"early bird" and "payment plan" - the options linking to the applications forms arent working.

I've phoned and left a message for the tache to sort.

Not a chance I am renewing mine. I have got seriously sick of the changes made to suit tv, means I miss a few games a season. You buy a season ticket because it makes financial sense if you are going to make it to every game, you miss a few games and it is not worth your while. Plus throughout the season all the deals (as good as they are to try and entice new fans) the club offer for reduced ticket prices or free tickets for games means it makes no real sense having a ticket.

Oh aye that and I haven't used my ticket this year since November because if I'm honest, I was bored with what was on offer! If things had been different and a trip to ER on a Saturday instead of the golf club was more appealing then I would have re-newed!

We could get relegated all the way down to the Maybury League and watching would still be preferable to putting on a pair of ludicrous slacks and mincing about a park hitting a wee ball with a metal stick.

I'm more of a returner than a renewer. The last time I bought one was three seasons ago. I bought mine this morning on line. I went to ER yesterday to get a ticket for Sunday from the shop but st business was taking place in the office and there was a queue, so on line was a better option for me. It sounds as though there will be people renewing and not and also new members as well as returners.

If a liquidated Hun gets straight back into the SPL they will be out for good and I might follow them depending on the stance the Hibernian Board take.

I renewed for me and my son but have changed seats from the West upper to the East stand. For the past goodness knows how many seasons I have deliberated about renewing as it is a lot of money and the team has generally not performed but Fenlon deserve's my backing as much as the likes of Calderwood, Hughes, Mixu and Collins did before him.

Last season was the first in over 50 years I didn't renew my S/T. This was for a number of reasons. At first I was like a bear with a sore head on a Sat afternoon but as the 1st half of the season wore on and the keek we were playing under CC it became easier to just stay away. However, since Fenlons arrival,[ no , not the results because they aren't that much better,] but the teams fight and improved commitment, allied with the way Fenlon comes across in interviews, I have a good feeling about next season so, swallowed my pride and purchesed my S/T for next season today.
Ticket office was busy, queued up for about 15 min and when I did get served fairly large queue behind me. So guys, get down to the ticket office and give Pat a fighting chance for next year, you know it makes sense. Go On Go On Go On.
