Sorry folks, I messed up last time because the Turnhouse 7 day open starts on 30 June and I doubt an outing the night before would do me any good!

so, let's bring it forward a week and go for 22 June instead.

Who's interested?

If you need the numbers up then Jamie will be there. Was pestering him this morning to set up a hibs.net account so he can keep an eye on up-coming outings as he was blown away with last week.

Right guys, I'm looking at Pitlochry for our trip.

Green fees are £32 (£13.50 for juniors) or we can have Rolls and coffee on arrival and a 2 course meal when we finish for £40. (I'm not sure how much the'y want for a junior, presumably about £20). Buggies are £25 per round.

If you haven't played Pitlochry, it really is a treat. Not too long, but interesting with beautiful views and only about an hour and a quarter from Corstorphine.

If we get weather like we did at The Carrick, it will be a real treat. In fact, I'm getting excited at the thought!

Personally, I think we should take the £40 option and make a proper day out of it. It will also save us having any difficulties with the under 18's.

Thoughts?

Only played it the once, but really enjoyed it, so I'm happy enough with it.

I dare say some from Edinburgh might feel it to be too far though?

It takes less time to get there than The Carrick and it's more fun, imo.

Another option I've been considering is Auchtermuchty, but that's not as scenic.

In which case, excellent :greengrin

Might I suggest the Rosemount course at Blairgowrie also then? Brilliant course and I've played a few outings here and loved them both :agree:

It's my daughters birthday on the 22nd and our anniversary on the 23rd so really don't think I can make it unfortunately. Sorry:agree:

I'm off on holiday the next day so no way the boss will let me go on a golf outing the day before. No doubt there will be 'stuff to do'.

Can I volunteer to organise the next outing so i can actually make it?!
