I was on one a couple of seasons back and a couple of policemen went all the way up to Inverness.

Why are they dry trains???
Are they trying to completely remove any sort of enjoyment from following a team?

Why? It's a dry train and you run the risk of not seeing the game if caught.

Is it really such a hardship to go without a beer for a couple of hours?

It is if you're watching the cabbage in Inverness.

Not as such, but I know when I go up to Inverness I love having a drink and a craic on the bus or train. It's often as much a part of the day as the game. I cannot see the problem with a bevvy at all.

I actually go to Inverness for the day out with my mates more than the game, tbh. There isn't much better.

Point of principle. Wee peeve, game off cards laugh/banter on the train for a few hours is what makes it (along with 3 points off course :greengrin ).
Anyway Sailor Jerry's and coke, no bother at all Hibs 1 - 0 BTP:cb

Very poor from police - especially if they had a presence on train.

I think it probably saved them from having an even bigger presence in Inverness.
