"One Day I'm Going To Soar"

Can't wait even though they've dropped the Midnight Runners part of their name.

Probably Searching For the Mid Life Crisis. Sounds amazing though.

I think Dexy's sold their "soul" after that album what came later was a shadow of their early promise. And WTF were those dungarees all about.

Dungarees were naff alright but I loved Too-Rye-Ay! Still sounds great today although I skipped Come On Eileen.

Haven't listened to either album for years, but IIRC Let's make this precious was on that album wasn't it and that was class.

GASP!! :blasphemy-smiley:

FWIW I think, although great, "Searching for the Young Soul Rebels" is their worst album (or 3rd best), "Too-Rye-Ay" is a fantastic upbeat record throughout and "Don't Stand Me Down" is one of the best records made by any UK artist at any time ever.

Couldn't give a toss about dungerfunks or whatever image they chose - he always went against the grain, which is props to him in my book.

Better than all the generic toy mod get-ups around by that time.
