....but, are any of the skilled workforce in engineering still left locally or will the jobs be outsourced? Anyone familiar with this development?

I'd imagine a lot of workers will come in from outside leith, as leith is and has been for a long time more of a creative hub than an engineering centre. That said it won't take long for a workforce to build up and be based in leith if this works out long term.

Interesting to see the UK government desperately trying to take the credit when not long ago they rubbished the SNP for backing alternative power options like wind etc. Apparently this proves why we are stronger in the union.
