So canny stand these Hertz pricks.

1. We have a losing mentality..
2. There players have a winning mentality...
3. There players want it more than we do..
4. We show there players FAR too much respect.. eg. Look at Ian Black in these games.. So much time and space to do what the hell he wants...
5. We bottle it , they don't...........

I think they are mere sound bites used to avoid the painful but obvious.

Where is the evidence there are mentality issues which have an overriding effect on a teams ability to win a game?

Can't subscribe to the 'they wanted it more' belief, yet to see a wantometer in action.
Respect and bottle again over used to mask ability and skill.

A quick look at the league may provide some idea to the cause, they are, and have been better than us this season,

Can onlly hope we are still in the SPL next season and we can attract the calibre of player who can compete at the top half of the league.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Hibs players go into these games these days, and high profile games v OF, with a fear of losing rather than a belief of winning. That may sound bizarre, but Hibs play with a lack of real self belief and that comes from a host of things.....training, fitness, leadership, confidence.

If Hibs had scored first yesterday, we would have defended that lead more than have the real belief we could get a second - Hearts score in these games and they believe (sorry to use their slogan) they will score again, and win games. That comes from confidence, grit, arrogance and quality.....all good things to have in sport. Hibs are the soft touches.......who would you back at a set piece to plant their head on a ball to either score or defend when it matters.....Hanlon or Webster, Stephens or Zaliukas ? Who would you back to back to really put a foot in and get stuck in....Black or Lewis ?

Pat Fenlon will do a good job at Hibs. As long as he is backed, and as long as certain players are let go for quite simply not having the heart and desire to really compete and succeed. Are Hearts that far ahead of us on the field......not really, but they are better. Why - leaders all over pitch, decision makers, loud mouths, grafters and a hint of arrogance in the big one.

Two players who haven't kicked a ball in anger for a season scored yesterday....they had desire, they had confidence, they had a wee touch of belief.

We had one striker sadly who let taunts ruin his game yesterday, and another who has let too many calories ruin his......the latter shouldn't wear the Hibernian strip again IMHO.

Our defending was deplorable …..Beattie’s first touch for his goal was very good …but good defenders don’t get caught on the wrong side of their opponent very often …our defenders did.
On a number of occasions yesterday they floated balls into our area ….communication between defenders and goalkeeper was clearly lacking because we had defenders straining to weakly header balls but NOT OUT OF THE DANGER AREA …rather they were turning speculative lobs into dangerous situations by failing to communicate properly …the defending was schoolboy stuff ….we had one or two opportunities O’Donovan header and the square ball across the face of the goal just begging to be buried …but the defence just did not look comfortable as a unit. :-(

True, but I'd say we lost the game in midfield. Stop Black and press high, you cut the supply.

And who would want to play in front of Graham Stack ? No confidence in coming to collect, has suddenly developed a loss of voice (maybe the fags ;-) ) and he IMO has contributed to a real nervousness at the back. Added to which we need athletes in every position.....he most certainly isn't one.
