Approaching good old Derby day again, what do you all make of our chances? I genuinely feel we will take something from this game, I think Fenlon will have the boys fired up and we will sneak it.:cb

I was about to post i am quietly confident, but i remembered that would be going a bit opposite to what i said on the private board about a 5-0 win. :hilarious

Anyway, BRING THEM ON!!!

Haaaaaaiiiiiillllllll!!!!!!! Haaaaaaiiiiiilllllllll!!!!!!!!

I'm worried about that jug-eared banjo plucker Beattie, who looks like a signing. We've got more quality now all over the pitch though. 2-2.

Should be a good game, were a lot stronger at the back now, beattie is a concern though, he looked the part against st mirren, think hertz will edge it in midfield as ozzy is out but ultimately a draw will be the outcome. Have a funny feeling black will get ordered off(god i hope its true!).

Certainly not as worried as i was 6 or 12 months ago!.

If Beattie and Skacel start I think.we may have problems, ozzy and Sproule out does not help our cause, but if the team is up for it..... you never know. Fingers crossed

Kello, Templeton and Zaliukas all out for hearts which is a bonus for us but as mentioned above, Skacel and Beattie will probably cause us problems. Skacel has a good record in derbys and always seems to be a thorn in our side.

However, i'm feeling a bit more optimistic going into a derby than I was at the start of the season, we are still not a fantastic team by any means but we look a hell of a lot better and seem to be stronger and less leaky at the back. As always, hearts will be the favourites going into this therefore more pressure on them so hopefully with a bit of belief we can go there and sneak it.

Boot Beattie hard early doors, he'll no fancy a lengthy lay off with no chance of being paid so he'll no be interested then..

Zallyhookus and Webster are slower than a week in Saughton, need to try and exploit they two as much as we can!

The rest of the team takes care of itself, 2-1 Hibs :agree:

Maybe a score Draw, cant see us winning put it that way, no matter how good our team is compared to there's they always seem to raise their game. Hope Hibs can prove me wrong.

yeezus.

Our team is a lot stronger than it was, I'm just a wee bit worried about Beattie, anyway, 2-1 Hibs.:flag:

As said their back four are not the quickest so O'Donovan and Sparky up front should cause them problems, I can see Webster being well beat for pace and giving away a penalty, which Sparky would score and go nuts about :giruy::scarf::partyhibb

3-1 Hibs.

But 2-2 is nagging at me.

Can't see us losing this one, but never can, and more often than not, we do. Think we'll be stronger defensively and more combative in midfield. I agree that 3-1 Hibs sounds about right.

Beattie? We've got big James McPake. He'll have Beattie in his back pocket.

2-0 Hibs. Sparky to get them both.

Griffiths to be sent off.

Just cant help but feel his emotions will be too much and he'll lose the head.

As long as hes scored 4 by then I dont mind tho :greengrin

Unfortunately he is suspended so it will probably be Barr.

I have a really good feeling about this game.

2-1 to Hibs, I think Griffiths will score (22 mins) and McPake (76 mins) to score the winner from a nice header at a corner. Skacel or Beattie for them around the half time mark (either 44 mins or 47!)

2-1 Hibs with Griffiths to score 1st is 60/1 at PaddyPower... hmmm

Totally disagree. I think McPake's goal will be in the 77th minute. :greengrin

Be funny if there was actually a McPake goal in the 76th of 77th minute :faf:

We've probably cursed that happening now!

Beattie? We've got big James McPake

:agree:

Remember Beattie was up against a midfielder drafted in as a makeshift centre half against St Mirren at the weekend.

He won't get much change out of Jamesy I reckon :greengrin

The Yams always seem to up their game more than we do in derbies.

They also seem to out-muscle us over recent times, and they have more tall guys to win the aerial battles.

We hardly ever score a goal at Tynie, these days, so 0 - 0 is probably the best we can hope for, though a two - nil defeat is more likely.

2-0 Hibs McPake and RO'D to score, both in the second half.

So long as we keep it tight the first 30 minutes I feel we will beat them.
