I daresay this has been asked before, and will be asked again, but can you - officially - wathc BBC1 Scotland online in the UK without installing anything on your PC. I don't have SKY, and being this far south of the Watford Gap, will soon be watching Lineker et al, which is generally fine.

Would these hypothetical streaming sites have it, as the Beeb appear to have omitted to have regional channel streaming as an option online?

I've never found a way to watch BBC Scotland from the dark regions down here. Any help is appreciated.

Afaik iPlayer doesn't stream live and you only get selected programs.

I'm all too aware of this regrettable situation, hence the original question :greengrin

I was hoping to illicit more info! Ie what you're trying to watch. River city? :greengrin

Afaik bbc has nothing worth streaming live :greengrin There are catch up tv sites which retransmit freeview stations. Not sure if they're legit (or if they require just an existing licence).

That is Sportscene Results, not hte highlights programme.

If, while finding your unfortunate self in the south east of England, you try to get at the highlights programme (which is on right now), then you get sent to BBC London.

I selected Edinburgh as my region, but the BBC on offer is still the Sassenach version :boo hoo:

Can't see a separate BBC 1 Scotland option either - not to worry.

Strange. It took me to iPlayer and I searched for sportscene. I got the highlights (at least Pat Fenlon was on and the started with the huns v hearts)
A week out of date but seemed the right program?

Ach, baws. Sorry about that. I knew it asked for a choice of region and assumed it would show the channel for that region.

Same link is the results show when I click on it. I did the same thing, searched for Sportscene, and just got the results show. Then went on iPlayer and found the listing for Sportscene - clicked on it and got taken to Match of the Day on BBC England. I don't think there is a solution - we'll just have to keep our powder dry for the online highlights tomorrow.

I got an infraction about 4 years ago for 'attempting to breach copyright laws' for touting for the exact same thing.

Can't recall who carded me :greengrin
