Reading the Benji thread made me think - the cup final will probably will the highlight of his career.

So for me Benjis finest hour came with us
Just as Ivans did

As for Konte whilst true maybe we should qualify it to players that were half decent expected to go on to better things - either by us or themselves.

Ulrik Laursen was always someone I thought would go onto the highest level but never made the next step after going to Celtic.

Some of the names put forward in this are at best wishful thinking, do people honestly think that we got to see the very best of Sauzee, Latapy, Laursen or even Colgan for that matter. I can't imagine any of them would say their finest moment was at Hibs sadly

The first time you pull on that Green top with the White sleeves is your finest moment in football.

It doesnt matter who you play for before or after and how many things you win .... end of.

Thank you for that : you put it perfectly
I played pro for three years back in the fifties and was lucky enough to play "down the slope" at ER.
While I remember that with a certain amount of pride it can't hide the fact that I would have given anything to pull on a green and white shirt . Unfortunately I wasn't good enough

Mixu?
Bit biased here but I think Mixu probably enjoyed more success when he was at Bolton as in his first season he played in the League Cup Final and scored in the First Division play-off final, and played a part in winning the First Division in 96/97 albeit after a long injury lay off.

Darren Jackson??

He went to Celtic after us and became a prominent member of the Scotland squad didnt he??

Anyway, the name im throwing into the ring is Dave Beaumont...

'twas a bit tongue in cheek hence the question mark.
Some may say his finest hour was his namecheck in phoenix nights ;)

Had managed to erase that from my mind. FWIW any Celtic supporters I know didn't rate him, thats why I thought his best days (footballing wise) were with us.

I'm assuming the tongue is firmly in the cheek there, as Baker is one of the all time top goalscorers at Arsenal and Bremner won the English League Title and European Cup at Aston Villa!

Not sure if this is meant to be a joke. Fenwick probably played his best alongside Sauzee and gottskalksson had a great year in first division before moving to brentford and running from police. Donaldson must be a joke - he was rank but became league 2's top scorer at crewe so that will probably be his finest hour. Did lavety not fail a drugs test at hibs?
