I'm assuming it's someone from outside the club if they didn't just name them... Very criptic either way.... Hopefully it's an exciting signing whoever it may be....

Bit of an anti climax being caldwell but good news none the less especially with him being linked with Rangers earlier in the season

Well that turned out tae be a bit of a damp squib as far as a new exciting player being signed is concerned.

Good news on the other hand that we have a young striker on the books that the manager rates highly enough to be worth a new 2 year contract.

Also in the Evening News today (p.20), two attractive young Hibees are cycling the length of Japan this summer to raise £10,000 for children orphaned by the tsunami! Donate here:

Is good news as there was a rumour on another site he had signed a pre-contract with Rangers.

:greengrin This is how evening newspapers have sought to keep their circulation figures up since time began. Dramatic sounding headline followed up by more run-of-the-mill copy.

Really delighted at this news on young Caldwell.

Presumably even if he had it now wouldn't be worth the paper it was written on...

Yep, Rangers problems may have had a positive effect for Hibs in this case.

Really delighted at this news on young Caldwell. :thumbsup:They can print all the headlines they want, they winnae sell a paper tae me :greengrin Was the only paper I used tae buy but stopped years ago because even that went down the toilet IMO. News papers are only good for cleaning paint brushes and I'll use the free ones for that. :greengrin

Surely misrepresentation to use the word "Star" in this context, though?

This is great news. Typical that something so positive should be underestimated because folk let their imaginations run away over a daft headline...

He is certainly highly rated and a star at his current level. I'm very hopeful of his chances of being a success at Hibs - especially at Fenlon's Hibs. Keep up the good work.

Till Celtic buy him off us you mean. And given Rangers won't be able to compete with them financially for his signature he'll go for peanuts. Oh aye thats something you've all conveniently forgot about eh

Good news :aok: Hopefully with 2 or 3 games left in the season we can be clear of relegation and see Caldwell and some other youngsters get a chance in the first team.

There's always sides in the English Championship or English Division 1 to compete with the Parkhead biscuit tin.

And that would be a better move for a young player in Scotland than sitting on an Ugly Sister's bench.
