Murray takes the 2nd set 7 5 to clinch the match and sets up a possible semi v Djokovic.

He seemed a tad concerned about his knee which might not bode too well for the rest of the tournament.

Murray wins set 1 by 6 games to 2, great start, but, a long way to go.

Djokovic breaks Murrays serve to stay in the match, 5 4 Murray, this could end up being a sore one for Murray.

Or not!

Murray takes the 2nd set 7 5, great effort, he basically bullied Djokovic into too many mistakes.

Fantastic result. Well done Andy. The Lendl effect seems to be paying off.

I doubt its all down to his recent tie up with Lendl, but, it would appear that Lendl has managed to instill some extra self belief into Murray, I suppose until he has another chance to win a Major we wont really know.

:agree: It's great that he's getting these wins against Djokovic. Given how he's been playing over the past year or so, any win against him is a great win.

However, he really needs to start converting some of these wins in 500 and Masters 1000 events into the Grand Slams. I know it's a completely different scenario when it comes to a Major but hopefully it will come!

FH, you are a man for your stats, prior to yesterday, it must be a long time since someone has taken 7 games in a row v Djokovic.

Never saw the final yesterday, thought Murray had a good chance after the way he played on Friday, oh well!

That's a challenge and a half to figure that one out!

Leave it with me and I'll see what I can do!
