United started well but when Ajax came into the game they have looked a decent side and well deserving of their goal.

Enjoyed the City v Porto game last night as well.

Thank goodness they stumbled through to the next round. That will keep them pinned down and playing on Sundays.

I thought at 3-0 up on aggregate, even United in Basel mode, could not cock that one up. They nearly did.

I am glad for that Ajax fans that they at least won the match. They were at the Etihad in force of Wednesday supporting City very vocally.

I will watch the matches against Athletic with interest.
