:agree:

There's still a lot to be said for an old fashioned compact ground like Somerset Park. The atmosphere should be electric and of course we've a score to settle.

I take it the game is now confirmed as the Saturday 3pm even with ayr races being the same day.

I think we'll sell 3000 very easily which worries me as i'm not a season ticket holder this year and really want to go, Ayr's capacity is just over 10k and theres no danger they'll sell 7000 tickets, do you think they'll hold back tickets for us depending on sales?.

There weren't at the replay so I doubt it. The lack of cash gates also ensures I can't pretend to be 15 again like last year.

For a 16 year old to have to pay £20 to get into that *****hole of a stadium is a ****ing joke tbh.

Bunch of liars on this thread ...No one has / can have tickets yet...Hibs not receiving them from Ayr till next week.

I have paid for and reserved at TO for collection there when they do eventually turn up :greengrin

Railway end for me again after some lunch in the town probably at the big Wetherspoons again - decent grub and cheap

Going to meet up with a bunch of pedantic mates then ?

Of course, we don't physically have our tickets but we have reserved and paid for them. Hardly worth calling us liars, is it ?

Hibs have been given just under 3000 tickets for terracing and 280 for the stand (which have all sold out) and at around 4pm we had sold around 800 of the terracing tickets already

That ***** hole of a stadium as you put it is one of last classic grounds left in Scotland, just as well you were not born a 20 years earlier as these type of grounds were the norm. I love good old terracing with nae roof bring it on :greengrin:wink:

When I was in the Hibs Shop getting my tickets someone asked about student concessions and was told that the only concs were for U16 or O65. So basically no.

The official site refers to last years replay as "Blood and thunder". Not that I recall....

I've no doubt though that this year will be entirely different... we can't be as bad again.... Shirley?

Well you will be disappointed then...as Railway end has a roof http://www.hibs.net/images/smilies/taunt%20smiley.gif

Unless you are going to stand in the corner next to pie stand:greengrin ...its the kind of ground i grew up with watching Raith Rovers..the days of scoring a goal and ending up miles away from where you first stood not able to see and chocking in the cloud of ash dust... its a wee bit sanatised at Ayr with the invention of concrete for standing on and more barriers

When I phoned the ticket office to order my tickets for Ayr, I was told that the match would be added to my season ticket. I'm seeing many references to people waiting for tickets to collect tickets etc but nothing about the match being added to their season ticket card. Has anybody else been told this?

How would Ayr check your season ticket? Have you ever used your card at another away game?

yr check your season ticket? Have you ever used your card at another away game?

That's right. Never. I presumed they must have had the capability to do it, but began to wonder when lots of other season ticket holders were talking about getting tickets sent out and/or collected. I'm in the stand rather than the terracing, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I have got our seat numbers via e-mail but nothing tangible.

Maybe they meant that it would be added to your season ticket details. (name/address) So you can quote this when picking up. I very much doubt Ayr will have a scanning system in place!!

I was surprised at the time but didn't think that much of it until nobody else mentioned it. You may be right. I'd better phone the ticket office tomorrow and clarify.

Definitely. You will need a ticket on the day. I'm sure they will just say it will be in the post.
