A bit tiried of hearing about other teams hard nuts.

1. Who are our current toughest players?
2. Who were our all time tough nuts?

I don't know about all time but from what I can remember Matty Jack was a bit of a hard nut.

Still like Scott Brown. Fond memories of him nipping away at the feet of Bobo Balde in a fearless fashion. Thick as mince but tough as old boots.

Big bad John McNamee.

Shaun Dennis

Some guy named John Hughes.

I couldn't honestly name a current "hard nut" even although we seem to pick up more than our fair share of bookings.

John McNamee without a doubt, he scored quite a few from corners too. He was a very good football player, who had an uncanny knack of not only winning the ball in the tackle, but also putting the opposition into the enclosure whilst doing it.:greengrin

I agree with all the names from the past that have already been posted, and Shades's tackle on Derek Parlane when he broke the Huns golden boys collar bone was a lesson on how to tackle against the OF
John Blackley was absolute class and hard as nails too...nobody would have liked playing against him, and the bruises would prove that

In more recent times, Willie Miller and Calumn Milne were never bossed on the park and they didn't take prisoners.

We don't seem to have a hard man in our team (hopefully McPake will fill that roll though) and thats why we're joint bottom of the league

Scotty Brown :tin hat:

You knew it was coming but I used to like him but I think he is now a tool of the highest order. He's a cheat and not that hard. I would loved to have seem someone drill him on Sunday or just stand on him while he pretended to be injured. Broonie by name and Broonie by nature. Tosser

And then ****** himself and pulled out of every tackle thereafter. Brown you just love to hate him but would love to have him doing the same for us!

Always remember Alan Sneddon being a fairly tough tackler, would've been fairly young at the time so could just be that. Loved the way Matty Jack was involved in any kind of controversy that happened in any game he played, not the most talented of players but would've been one of the first names on the team sheet for me every week!

McNamee! "Big John, cha cha cha" was the cry as he dispatched another hapless Third Lanark forward into the terracing wall with one twitch of his massive thigh.
