Marked in the diary. I've never understood why all the U21 qualifiers are being played at the one venue. The crowds haven't been that great either. They would have been better in Edinburgh, Dundee or Aberdeen.

I heard that Scotland were to play Poland at Easter Road as a full international pre Euros........

Not sure if its true or not.

I think its fair enough to be honest, a base, somewhere that the players are used to, somewhere that works for the management team, familiarity all in all is what i think it comes down to. St Mirren Park fits the bill as far as i can see, not too big, great facilities, not far from suitable accomodation and training venues, local to Hampden. Main thing is that the pitch is the most reliable in scotland and arguably one of the best so no cancellations either.

Just my thoughts.
