SIR CHRIS Hoy is poised to make a fool – or “a liar”, in Shane Sutton’s words – of British Cycling’s head coach. It was almost four years ago, after Hoy’s three gold medals in Beijing, that Sutton came out with the quote that always threatened to haunt him.
