I like your thinking, I'll have some of that as well. Actually is it that crazy an idea, fans to club together to sign a player.

Rangers have not registered Cousin yet and as they are now in Administration they are under a transfer embargo.
The SPL are meeting to discuss the situation. Depending on which way this goes it should be a indication on how the whole Administration/possible liquidation situation is going to play out regards SPL bending over backwards for them.
Should be interesting.

And all of them will probably get a club signing on fee and nice pay packet, they will do alright unfortunatly.

I understand the dislike towards Lafferty, but why "unfortunately" for the rest of them? These guys aren't to blame for the idiots who follow the club, nor are they responsible for any of their financial perils.

No reason to wish ill on the players in this.

Me too :agree:. As for Aluko, you'd have to fell sorry for him if he really did pay his own transfer fee to Aberdeen :faf:.

Honestly can't see how they can be aloud to sign Cousin if their sacking other players and staff .

According to the tele earlier, Davis, McGregor and Whittaker are pocketiing 70K a week between them. I think that is what RFC will be looking to pay the first team in total per week going forward.

Nope, don't think they have.

What would be pretty crappy is that if they do get to keep him (although I dont think they will), he gets £5k a week and the Pars and the Arabs (and even them over-bye) get stiffed for what they are due.

Think it was Bournemouth, the fans paid for a left back, and were then raging when he wanted to leave 6 months later. :greengrin

I think when youre in administration effectively the games a bogey when it comes to contracts, the admninistrators can make them redundant tomorrow, and they'd be due essentislly diddly other than statutory redundancy.

Could it be beyond Hibs to take advantage of Rangers troubles by offering Daniel Cousin a deal? Its looking unlikely that he will be able to play for them so why not take him on as back up incase sparky has another mental turn....

The SPL can decide who plays in their competitions. Part of the punishment for administration is a ban on signing new players. When Cousin's registration (with the SFA) was presented to the SPL, it was signed by one of the administrators, ie clearly after administration. So he can 't play in the SPL.

He can play in the Cup though. :greengrin

If Rangers have signed him and have to pay £30k per month this is outrageous.
His monthly salary will pay for around 15 Ibrox employees to stay employed until end March
What other stories are likely to come out of Rangers

Not necessarily so. I worked for a Company that went into administration 6 years ago. Administration lasted around 8 weeks and people lost their jobs each week. However consultants were kept on due to them having. Short term contracts. I wonder If Cousin is in the same position

Cousin will be delighted. The way is clear now to sign the £20,000/week contract that Birmingham City were offering.
