With Hibs having signed Claros from Honduran club Motagua and Rangers kind of signing Cousin from Gabonese giants Sapins, can anybody else think of interesting and random clubs that signings have appeared from in the SPL?

I believe that over the years we have signed a number of players from the club formerly known as Glasgow Rangers :greengrin

I stand corrected, never checked it out but went from memory as was sure it was Keflavik - old age must be creeping in!

Erm - it's "Gottskalksson", not "Gottskaklsson", and "Keflavik", not "Keflavick".
BTW - I'm still trying to work out exactly why clubs from Iceland, Norway, Morocco, Ecuador and Honduras should be considered "strange" - because the people who run them/support them have funny accents? Skin a different colour? Speak a different language?
Just thinking, don't y'know? :cb

Hicham Zerouali - FUS Rabat (Morroco)
Markus Paatelainen - FC KooTeePee (Finland)
Mikko Paatelainen - FC KooTeePee (Finland)
Efrain Juarez - Pumas UNAM (Mexico)

Nerijus Barasa - Krylia Sovetov Samara (Russia)
Eggert Jonson - Fjardabyggd (Iceland)
Ryan McGowan - Para Hills Knights (Australia)
Lyndon Andrews - Joe Public FC (Trinidad and Tobago)
* I don't follow Dutch Football, so they might not be that obscure, but their name always made me giggle for some unknown, probably infantile reason.
In response to Doddie above, I don't necessarily think of them as "strange", but more surprising some of the leagues/teams that scouts go to lengths to look at, uncovering some real gems.
