Can anyone tell me what the speed limit is on this stretch of road (I drive it every morning and evening for work)?

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ll=55.938589,-3.386943&spn=0.006526,0.021136&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=55.938723,-3.387351&panoid=HH-0jFH_UmAmRB82Vz269Q&cbp=13,93.45,,0,0

Its a rhetorical question - I know what it is.

I'm not sure if the many cyclists that I and many many others motorists have to dodge every day know though.

What makes it even worse is that perfectly good cycle path just to the left (which I've used myself) at taxpayers expense which is never used.

Crazy IMO.

Dual carriageway, National Speed Limit applies, I'd say 70?

The only fly in the ointment might be the fact that there are streetlights?

I'm quite embarrassed that I don't know the answer for sure...

Its 70mph for cars, motor-bikes, and vans up to 2 tonnes

For everything else, its 60mph apart from lorries or 7.5 tonnes where it drops to 50mph (i think)

The bit at Ratho Station is a 40mph though

Yep 70 - it amazes me any cyclist would want to put themselves at risk on that stretch of road
