Another ton from Cook (102) enabled England to post a 50 over score of 250-4 in the opening innings of the 2nd ODI.
Pakistan currently on 81-1 after 19 overs, should be close.

Gutted I had to go out. Was shaping up to be an exciting finish.

I'm slowly learning to love cricket.

A finish like the India - Sri Lanka match yesterday could be on the cards here.

Fairly comfortable for England in the end. Entertaining days play though.

Afridi kinda threw it away and if he had hung around Pakistan would have won. Not sure Rehman knew which to hold the bat and he killed any chance they had.

Cook becomes first ever England captain to score back to back tons in ODI games. Thought he was a mad appointment as he can make Chris Tavare look fast but the lad is doing really well.

In case anyone's interested, Scotland started their 2012 season this morning in the UAE also, playing against the UAE at Sharjah. This is a test match type setting but only 4 days, with the aim being to get 20 wickets just like in a test match.

Scotland started well, UAE are all out for 100 but the Scots could only manage 121/5 so far in reply. Seems a similar low scoring affair is likely, but hopefully the Scots can push on to a 100+lead tomorrow.

Including a Richie Berrington century! I'd have thought Scotland should wrap it up from here...

England absolutely flying, happy for Pietersen too!

Scotland making hard work of the UAE, they have a lead of 81 with 3 wickets left. Shouldn't be too much of a problem but we don't want them dallying over those last 3 wickets tomorrow...
