An odd decision, especially when you consider he was widely tipped to take over at Hibs at one point.

Stunned at that to be honest. Charged Livingston through the leagues and had them playing some exceptional football.

Results haven't been great of late, but they're still mid-table, when survival was always the aim for them this year.

Very odd.

Poor decision. He has won back to back league titles. This year they are mid table. Consolidate then move forward again.

Don't know a lot about Livi but thought they had been doing well the last couple of years.

Seems a strange decision, maybe some boardroom politics at work.

Did the same thing not happen with Welsh and his father in law at Cowdenbeath a few years back?

In which case, why not just invite him and his coaching staff into a meeting and make a request? It's up to a manager to pick his team and nearly all of the current Livingston first team squad has come through the academy.

Utterly bizarre and I fully expect Bollan will get a hefty severance package.

Also pretty confident he'll go on and be a successful manager and I doubt he'll have a lack of suitors. I recall Paul Lambert being sacked under similar circumstances at Livi (meaning board interference) and look what he's gone on to achieve!

Welsh is going to America in two weeks so i'm surprised at that.

Another one of our central defenders who was often unfairly targeted by our boo boys.!

I thought he resigned after having some absolutely honking results with them. I might be wrong though. I've slept since then.

Hopefully his dusting skills are better than his football management ones then...

Lambert was sacked after we beat them 7-0 and he said after the game it should've been 17.

I'd be surprised if FJK is not in for it. If he got it I wonder what BB would do. Straight choice .............. his mate or the money. :hmmm:

Previously I'd have defo said he'd have followed his old pally. Now though I'd like to think Brown would want to stay here now he is working wit fenlon.

It wouldn't be a huge shock if Brown leaves ER at the end of the season when his contract's up.

I think Weir stays in Cheshire wouldnt have thought the Livi job would be big enough for him.

I agree location may not suit him, although it isn't too far from Glasgow which he managed to work in for several years. He'd have to be pretty arrogant though to think that he could walk into a manager's job at a higher level, when he is entirely unproven in any management/coaching role.

He could always jump on a train to Swansea, riding those white swans up the table, or telegram sam at west ham and ask him to move over.

Erseholes. I hope this comes back to haunt them. Ged Nixon saying Bollan didn't share the board's "strategy" for Livingston. He's done a tremendous job there and was well respected by the players by all accounts. Maybe the Livi board are getting a bit above their station here.

Yip, best by train Bob - fewer trees in the way

Edit: Anyone know where the Livi club shop is, JJ asking for directions :greengrin

You're a bad man John, I was trying to keep this thread respectable/slowly building to that punch line (delete as you think likely)
