I noticed that Everton are reported as paying £5.5m for Jelavic while West Ham were knocked back after offering £7m.

Does anyone else think that maybe Rangers accepted the lower offer for more cash up-front? Are they that desperate?

definitely possible but SSN were reporting yesterday that Jelavic turned down West Ham as soon as he heard of Everton's interest.

actually it may have been the BBC.

Allardyce said yesterday that they were pulling out as he was out of their price range. Definitely think Everton offered more up front. They had just recieved the money for Billyletdinov.

I think the West Ham offer was accepted. Everton obviously offered him better personal terms

Wouldn't believe a word that comes out of Ibrox. Doubt the offer ever existed. Remember they turned down £9m from an un-named club in the summer. They seem to have made a worse job with Jelavic than our Ron in the summer with the Calderwood saga.

Plus the bonus of guaranteed PL football next season.

Rangers knocked back West Ham's offer as below their valuation of the player. Everton weren't quoted at the time.

In a word, yes. Whyte needs to get to the big tax case result so he can take them into receivership but it's all Murray's fault. If he doesn't make it that far, it's his fault. Either way, they're Donald Ducked and a NewHuns FC is on the cards for next season. Big question is will the rest of the SPL cave to let them back in?

Never knew he was a footie player. A lovely voice though, shame some of the old favourites are unsingable now.

West ham wanted to pay in three installments so were told to GTF.

Brilliant to hear all the bluenoses greeting about their trialist signing for us and that they never had time to get a replacement for jellyfish !!

Now they know how the rest of us suffer
