We all know how badly we need a few new experienced players and we're told the club are actively trying. But, apart from the interest in Jim Goodwin, there isn't even any rumours going around about players we may be trying to sign. You would think that at this stage of the window if were at all close to bringing players in, there would be stories going about. These things tend to be leaked by agents or folk close to the players etc. I hope I'm wrong but I'm very worried about the silence. I honestly don't think there is a plan, I think they wait to see who is offered and make decisions that way. Of course I don't know if this is true but that appears to be the way they do business.
We now need to identify targets and get them in, even if it means paying a bit more to do so. If we don't, we will be relegated. In my opinion, the current players will not be able to dig us out and we can't rely on untested rookies to do it either. We have to pay the going rate or more or we're going down.
