Welcome to this week's top tips from hibs.net. Each week a hibs.net member presents their selections for the weekend.

Last week, TQM, though unlucky, drew a blank. This leaves mim at the top of the tree with his six quid profit.

This week's Tipster trying to capture the top branch is Mikey and you can see his selections on the hibs.net Front Page... HERE (http://www.hibs.net/content.php?260-Beat-the-Bookie-19)

And I've stuck my money where my mouth is by putting a few quid on the 5 fold :greengrin

Those odds were taken from Bet365. It pays to shop around as I didn't get anyting like that from the local Ladbrokes I went into to place the bet :no way:

Good luck Mike

No way I could put any of my money on them though

Just wrong

Think Swansea might blow your 3 fold tbh

I couldn't believe the difference in possible return between the two.

The odds online are always a lot better but I just like going into the bookies and giving them money......

It doesn't quite feel the same when it comes out your bank and goes back in without someone passing you the money.

Some bold moves there Mikey, few risks taken. Quite like the odds for Blackburn to win at Everton but reckon could be a draw. Good luck.

Too true - in fact, with the average punter's record vs the bookie, it's probably better to get pisher odds so that when Liverpool (just for example) shaft your coupon for the 3rd time in a month, you don't feel that you've lost out on quite so much £££

Indeed. The fact that we've only had two people turn a profit in Beat The Bookie says it all!!

Oi - I at least broke even :greengrin

I'm not overly convinced that QPR are a gambling proposition, certainly not a team to be on the right side of at the moment.

On the subject of online bookies - Boyles are my firm of choice. They've even paid me out on a couple of losing bets :thumbsup:

Not content with an abysmal showing on Beat The Bookie, I also bombed my whole stash of vButtons on Rangers to win :rolleyes:

vSkint again :greengrin

Mikey was a little unlucky with his treble when 2 selections won but the other lost 1-2.

Single = beat (draw)

Treble = 2/3

Five Fold = 2/5

3 Draws = 1/3

Correct score = incorrect.

So a £5 loss, assuming a virtual quid on each bet.
