Using my blackberry to post this and for some reason it won't load up the John Sutton thread! There seems to be alot of posts on it. can I ask if hes signed? Or even if there is any truth in this? I for one would welcome him with open arms regardless of who he has played for!

Hi have approached hearts about a loan move for him but now it's just down to whether they want to give him to us.

Probably not, but the Hearts player paid cash for his goods!

Would never do that. He's a good lad apart from being a Jambo. I look after my customers unlike Hibs!

Heard today that we've put in an offer of around £120,000 With 2.5 years left on his contract I don't think they will accept that...

Apparently got about 500k for Jonnson with only 6 months left!

(I know he is younger and an internationalist)

Makes sense that we've made an offer to buy.. Fenlon saying we are waiting to hear back from Hearts. Not sure about that size of bid though.

Why would we offer them anything, other than to take him off their hands?

He does not get a game, unfancied by the manager and on a hefty wedge.

One thing to offer up cash for the player, which will suit Hearts. It is altogether different to dig deep to try and match his wages or try to come close.

And if you are John Sutton on a 2.5 yr contract of, allegedly, 5k a week you sit tight or you look for a cash sum to leave.

If he is offered 3k a week elsewhere he takes a hit of quarter of a million.

Sutton has made a bad move going to yams ..... Hope we get him as he would be hungry to stick the finguerola up way they have treated him :agree:

The Yams are desperate, but not entirely stupid (though I have no proof of this) and someone somewhere will eventually cough up if they want him on a permanent deal. It may as well be us.

Because he has a contract with them?

Sutton's a handy player and I'd be happy to see him sign for us. Just a fact of life that with two and a half years left on his contract, whoever goes in for him will have to pay a transfer fee for him.

What about defence and midfield? Yes good players are good players but we need experienced defenders and creative midfielders. I would rather we spent our limited resources in these areas.

If Sutton is still there on 31st January, I'm pretty sure he would be released to any club who wanted him.

That would be a contracted committment of around £625,000 the yams would be free of......,

Th eclub would have to take on the wages of course.

He's in the starting line up today so some of the more extreme rumours (bust ups and huffs0 are clearly exagerated

If its true that we have bid 120K. Then I think the only decent thing to do is simply not pay the transfer fee until the last possible minute. Let's see how that lot like it
