Only from memory I thought Keith's 1st goal was in a 1-1 draw at Well?

Was it a pre-season game?

I think his 1st competitive goal was against Stirling Albion in the Skol Cup, unless he scored in the league before this?

EDIT - Yep, the Motherwell league game was a few days before the Stirling Albion game.

Keith Wright's first goal for Hibs was during his home debut in a pre-season friendly v Chelsea when he scored the last goal in a 2-2 draw. He assisted the other goal.

I don't have an exact date for that game but he signed on the 31st of July 1991 and his first competitive match was in a 4-1 league win at ER v St Mirren on the 10th of August so it was likely the 3rd.

First competitive goal was away v Motherwell on 17th of August (1-1).

No one in particular but what annoys me is that just because he was a Hibs man seems to make him have a "legend" status on here for what reason I can't explain, Steve Cowan was a far better goalscorer for us but nowhere does he get any credit for it, just my opinion of course

Scoring in every round on the way to a league cup win? :dunno:

Being a major part of one of the most exciting Hibs sides of the past 30-35 years? :dunno:

Watching McAllister, O'Neill, Wright, Jackson and McGinley wasn't too shabby.

Each and every Hibernian who has a winners medal from their time with us, whether League, Scottish cup or League Cup, should be regarded as a legend. We don't win often enough and when we do these guys are special. He was the main reason we won the LC in '91.

Roughly the same ratio of goals to games-Wright just shades it.

Exactly. And let us not forget that in 1991, the League Cup was still held in high regard and was a trophy everyone wanted to win.
