Anyone know if Doyle was registered in time to play tomorrow?

According to Sky Sports "Hibs await clearance for Doyle to debut in the Derby"

Surely he wont start even if he gets clearance, would imagine hes not up to fitness yet?

Why ? Has he not just finished the Irish season ?

Why ? Has he not just finished the Irish season ?

And has trained with the team for weeks and played in bounce games.

I'd be disappointed if he didn't start

If he spends any time at EM he'll get unfit.

I think the SFA offices are open for a few hours either today or tomorrow to allow registrations to go through

He will possibly have to attain our current first team standard of fitness before being considered.

If he can do the running away from a car crash (Musselburgh to Wallyford) in a sub 30 min time before the police arrive and manage not to be blowing out his Erse after the same time test whilst popping doon the road for a paper he will play. So long as his clearance papers are processed in time.

Indeed.

Because we've got a really fit squad right enough.

The idea Doyle isn't fit enough to play is laughable.

What he said

I would imagine Hibs are going to avoid building much speculation about this as it will obviously increase the pressure on the lad. I'd like to see him get a start just to see what he can do, but I'd expect he'll get a bench spot and Fenlon will see how the game is going before bringing him on.

At the recent fans forum, the board said that one of the criteria in the interview process was how the new manager would utilise the training centre better as CC hadn't used it as much as it should have been basically. And they said that Fenlon had already had them in much more than previously. Also, when Fenlon started, he asked why, when the team was sitting 10th in the league, all the players seemed so happy and smiley.

I see what you mean. I remember the pressure on benji before he'd even kicked a ball for us

No one's saying we're a fit squad. What's laughable is the idea that a building is somehow responsible for fitness levels rather than incompetent previous staff. Fenlon's said we're not fit enough and I don't see any reason why we should doubt his ability to sort it out.

What if GOC doesn't play though, would you want / expect him to start then?

As much as we'd all like to know it Doesn't make sense for hibs to advertise it if he's able to pay.

Players are registered in the dying seconds of transfer windows so I can't see how he can't be registered in time.

Pressure !!

Hibs should be Screaming this guy is playing the fans need a lift we need a bit of hope.

If this guy is good enough either tomorrow or later he will prove it.

Lets give everyone a lift lets start with him and GOC leave Galbraith and Ivan on the bench and even if we go one down we have a bit of hope.

Get stuck in and win the points Hibs New Year New deal

The office is only open for a few hours whereas it's open all day on deadline day. They also need the Irish office to be open and accommodating.

If Doyle was a free agent then his papers would've been registered with the SFA already, will probably go through legally on the 1st January.
