Extremely good; excellent.

Its in my dictionary, just because it is used frequently by Americans doesnt mean its an Americanism, there are a lot of words used by Americans we use its just plain english :wink

I think the fact it is an American event performed by an American it was only fitting to use the word "Awesome" as I was Awestruck.
