Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov's Lithuanian basketball club, Kestutis Marciulionis, have been taken to court for £175,000 of unpaid wages - in a mirror image of recent events at the Edinburgh football club. (the Sun)

Is his basketball club not B C Zalgiris of Kaunus ? They play in a fantastic shade of green and seemingly Zalgiris translated means the green grove.

I think all Vlad's sporting businesses should play in the same colours to show solidarity in these times of austerity. :greengrin

I was actually 'email friends' with one of this team's cheerleaders. I met her when Scotland played Lithuania in Kaunus back in about 2006. She worked as a hotel receptionist and was lovely.

I came to my senses when I realised that I was probably far too old for her and sustaining a long distance relationship with somebody in Lithuania while I actually had a live-in girlfriend back in London, was never going to work....

Oh well! :boo hoo:

I'd rather have a "shot" from the other side.

Could we organise a collection and get them over for a Hibs home game in the New Year?

I volunteer a tenner towards the pot :greengrin

Alternatively, we could start a hibs.net cheerleaders team.
