News of a rather horrific attack yesterday as a guy was set about with a 8 ton road roller; ambulance crew hindered according to Radio Forth!!!!

Just being nosey but can any of our East Lothian correspondents provide any details?

I was expecting a punch-line after your first sentence......all seemed a bit "Who framed Roger Rabbit?".

If its possible to be better being run over by a steamroller I suppose that report is better than I thought when I heard it on RF!

Yeah, I watched a bit of Roger Rabbit on the telly at the weekend! :greengrin

I was told two or three boys tried to steal a steamroller, somehow one of the guys ended up under it, then a paramedic was assaulted.

Yeah, compared to them the Gaza strip is a caravan park. Have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised at how decen the Coalgate is looking these days.

"Man run over by steamroller is recovering in wards 5, 6 & 7" - as the old joke goes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I heard it was folk from southside of Duddingston  that did it - not panners as suggested above.
Sherlock Holmes could have worked out that panners would never go near Tranent, FFS.
