Just finished watching P'smouth V S'hampton
What a dire game of " hoofball" !!
How many misplaced/over hit passes were there in that game ?
On the plus side thought the Ref had a good game - you hardly noticed him. Just as it should be !!
Plenty of passion from both sides as you would expect in a " derby" - but !
A poor advert for English Championship football IMO

Liverpool are playing some great football.

The Celtic game is about as good as our game yesterday yet Celtic got a credible draw in Italy during the week !, teams here know each other inside out and it shows , bigger league playing twice a season maybe ?.

Obviously not.

Really?

Have you ever watched Arsenal play?

Exactly. Anyone who can describe players on that team as irrelevant knows nothing about football.

Szcezney is fast becoming the best keeper in the league, Vermalaen is a top defender, Ramsey has a massive future and the rest of the team is starting to produce as well.

If you get yourself down to the Arsenal shop before Xmas you might be in time to snap up the Robin Van Persie tea tray. Big enough to carry 10 mugs apparently.

Koscielny should probably get a namecheck too. He's excellent. Six good teams in the EPL this year for a change. Fancy Liverpool to miss out on the top four, but not sure who else will. Manchester C are secure, but the other three CL qualifiers could be any three of Manchester U, Tottingham, Chelski and Arsenal.

Manchester Utd will be in the Champions League next season.

They are currently 10 points clear of Arsenal in 5th place. It's totally inconceivable, even at this stage, to suggest that they might allow that lead to slip.

Yes, agree that Manchester U are favourites to be best of the also-rans in the EPL, and I currently expect you to qualify in 2nd place. :agree:

Best thing that could happen to city is to get dumped out of all of the cups. If they have a clear run in from February to May it would take a monumental bottling not to win the league.

Write Man United off at your peril. They'll fight til the very last kick of the ball if need be. Man City have been good at the start of the season and probably deserve to be top. Can they keep up this sort of form over 38 games though? ..It's yet to be seen.

:faf: This post really made me laugh. Not a lover of either Manc club obviously but I think the answer to your question is; the credit will be given at the end of the season IF City win the league. Kevin Keegan wanted the credit early as well I seem to remember!

The league isn't won after 16 games. Like I said, time will tell if City can keep up the pace after 38 games.
