Hope he recovers enough to re start his playing career, it is a horrible disease to which I can relate as my 12 year old boy has Crohn's disease which is very similar and when it flares up it drains you and takes all your energy.

Massive blow for Scotland. Nobody will fill his role as well as he does. And Kenny Miller's a goalscorer, not a captain for me.

:agree:

My daughter has colitis and I really hope Darren makes as good a recovery as she has done.

This is maybe just a coincidence but when I saw him play for the first time since he came back from his long lay off, I didn't think he looked very well at all.

I've looked up this ulcerative colitis and it looks like it can potentially be quite a serious illness and leaves people with an increased risk of contracting other illnesses such as colon cancer.

Hopefully Fletcher can get himself back to full health and start to look forward again to playing football.
