Brilliant! My son did exactly the same thing at his first game (in the first and second halves).

My daughter did likewise at her first game, a 1-1 bore fest v M'well in the early 80's.
That was in the days of the old south stand, which was used as a family stand at the time, except when the Yams and the old firm came calling.

:hilarious Saw that when I watched the game yesterday and had a wee chuckle. I've been tempted to do that myself lately but I couldn't find anybody who was willing for me to sit on their lap.
