Hibernian can confirm Head of Performance Jim Henry has left the club to join Martin O'Neill's new backroom team at Sunderland with immediate effect.
Formerly with Celtic and Aston Villa, Henry joined Hibernian 13 months ago.
The club would like to thank Jim for his contribution over the past year and wish him all the best for the future.

In fairness, if he was under contract then we would be entitled to a certain amount of compensation.

He should have left being smuggled out in the boot of a car - like Steve Patterson was at Pittodrie.

The next time the guy applies for a job, he should put down 2011 as a 'gap year'.

This is the guy that used to conduct all the 'bleep tests' to see who was the fastest runners at the club

If you ever spoke to him he always started his sentences with 'When I was at Celtic.....'

Best of luck for the future Jim. Hopefully your salary with us was not result based as you would have failed miserably if that was the case.

Hopefully the saving in his salary will be added to the player budget and made available for Fenlon to spend in January.

Tam McCourt will, along with his other duties, fit in the Performance stuff. No problem, an inexpensive and seamless transition.

Who .... ? Head of whit ?

Give me a break !! Never heard of him or the job TBH

Whatever the role is ............. it's clearly not high profile and doesnt appear to be important in the greater scheme of things.

A £salary saved and can be used towards a salary for a PF signing ?

Hibbie Killie I am right with you. Tam';s the man.

Was the bold Tam on the bench at Fir Park or was it too dark to see?

I THINK he was the bald guy who helped with the warm ups who I worried, when I first saw him, was Jim Duffy. Not sure if it's the same guy though.

Is he the guy who was in the photo with CC when they did the half marathon a few months ago? Other than that not got a clue we even had one and he must have been a bigger wage thief than Calderwood.

Was he not the guy who was said (at the AGM) to have approved the players getting time off after we were humped by Dunfermline and Caldo was sacked? If so, seems to have been good at rewarding poor performance?

A reliable source of mine told me that whenever Jim Henry was asked what he did employment wise he used to tell people that he collected trollies at Sainsbury. :greengrin

It would be less embarrassing to put 'in prison' than to put 'at Hibs' on his CV for the last year! :hmmm:
