Make sure you book a timeslot in addition to your ticket or you're guaranteed to see them.
Think they go on public display on the 16th.

Have to add this from the Daily Mash. More fun at the pandas (and others) expense. Can't stop laughing at it.

Frank Boyle's cartoon is the best part of the EEN most days.

A guy text into Five live on the subject of helping them in the mating process.
He said hey didn't need any help as it was all there in front of them in back and white.

Considering the story was about them going to Edinburgh Zoo, I'm pretty sure it was :greengrin

£300k enclosure
£600k a year 'rent'
£70k a year food bill.
I sure hope the zoo can sell all the extra tickets required to pay for these two pandas and even if they do I'm amazed that they are comfortable in giving so much money to the Chinese for the privilege of assisting them in their breeding programme* but there you go.
* Seems more like a revenue generating programme at these rates!

Seeing as it costs about £70k for a ticket for the zoo these days, I'm sure they'll be fine!

70k per year to feed them is nothing.
Just as well they arent trying to breed a couple of Nade's. That woukd bust them forr sure.

Fag packet calculations say they'd need roughly 270 extra visitors a day. Should manage that no bother.

I always think a better way to 'save' pandas would be to stop destroying their habitat rather than dumping them in zoos and molesting them once a year.

I wondered why you had to book in advance. How is the Doctorate in Zoology coming along PB? :greengrin
