Good appointment for them if he gets it. Confused slightly though cos did he not walk out on Aston Villa as there was no money to spend and their best players were being sold? Sky Sports Text today says he's been told Sunderland won't be spending money in January? Thy desperately need a striker.

Thats a bit of a step down from the Hibs job he was being touted for, maybe less pressure would be better for him.
