Vladimir Antonov, the owner of the Lithuanian Bank Snoras that has just gone bust, was refused a licence to operate in the UK. The FSA stated that it supplied misleading information that was part of an ongoing pattern of behaviour by institutions controlled by Mr Antonov.
This is the same Antonov who bought Portsmouth FC, that also went bust. He has now been arrested on charges of misappropriating £200m .
Not sure but could there be a pattern emerging here ?
