A fit hard working squad. Simple technical abilities; pass, move into space, throw in to own players, crosses that put the opposition under pressure. An occasional flash of smart thinking, a defence splitting pass(one a game!) The odd glimpse of genius that so many of our past players could produce. Orin other words a half decent side worthy(and proud) to wear the shirts of our great club. A team worthy of our support. If none of the aforementioned apply they should leave and give their last wage packet to a charitable cause.

You will have a long wait!

Isn't that what the Football Manager game is for?

I agree with you, but it will take the new boss a couple of years and a lot of correct signing decisions before we get anywhere close to that I'm afraid.

One or two creative players could make a fair bit of difference in the meantime though.

CC didn't fancy that type but a Zemmama or even Liam Miller who could do something a we bit different with the ball now and again would be a start.

We might then see others settle into their jobs a bit more.

Agree remember Chic Charnley? Got the fans talking and brought a wee bit( wayward) genius to the park. Someone who mightn just maybe get the fans on their feet applauding. Right now someone like him would do.

Think it was against Alloa in the Scottish Cup that Charnley scored from halfway. Can't see any of the current lot having the imagination to even realise that could be done, let alone the ability to do it.

If the Chick Charnley's short stay is taking on the mantle of a mythical golden age then things must be pretty bad.:greengrin

motherwell totally punch above their weight year after year. they blood young players into the first team at an early stage. it clearly works.
