Has antone else heared that he has applied for the job? I have been told by someone that knows a former player of ours who spoke to JC who seemingly said he has applied.???? Strange one if true

I would love to have him at the club again, working as academy director/manager in tandem with the right coaches and manager and getting our younger players the correct grounding to be succesful footballer

This would depend on 2 main things, 1) if he would want that kind of position and 2) If Petrie resigned as that's the only way this would happen. :aok:

His ego would be too much for him to work in the background I reckon.

Didn't really want him but after watching some clips from the cup win I'd take him back.

...Of course that shows why I don't get to pick the managers :greengrin

He liked to play football from the back, not sure he could do it with this squad.

Its a strange one to be fair, if he genuinley has I find myself questioning his motives, maybe he feels like he has something to prove and wants to come back and finish the job he thinks he started or well maybe a bit cynicle but has he applied to see what reaction he will get from RP and the board. Probs the latter is way of the mark but just part of m,e wouldnt be surprised to be sitting listening to the radio or reading the paper in month so come and hearing of how he tried to go back etc etc

For what its worth I wouldnt mind either way if JC got the job or if he didnt, I do however think he wont be on the shortlist if he has applied.

He would certainly have something useful to offer the club but not as manager I'm afraid.

A big no from me. He left hibs a player and manager so give him another go. Big problem with his man management skills. He also signed some gash players.

John Collins as a manager is a big no from me.

John Collins as Peformance Director with a Director of Football working with him to make the signings, now that's something I could be interested in.
