Mentioned on the BBC, texted in by a mystery man. Obviously not a reliable source, but what would people's thoughts be on him?

Would be a heck of a gamble. Another number 2 aswell.

When Clueless gets the boot id like Billy Davies but how realistic that is i dont know.

Not wanting Aitken one iota! :no way:

What's he doing with himself now?

Don't really care if he's a number 2, there's no exact formula for appointing the right person, some of the best managers have been assistants at some point and if we go for experience they'll likely have failed somewhere else at some point so will be just as big a risk

Not a lot I think. He was out in the UAE with David O'Leary at Al-Ahli last season.

Don't remember him doing a great deal with Aberdeen when he managed there back in the 90's. No thanks.
But wish we did have a vacancy to fill...

He won the League Cup in 1995 - which was Aberdeen's last trophy - and took them to third place.

Certainly experienced enough at a higher level. Could well fit in. He was always very vocal.

Did Aberdeen not finish bottom with him in charge?

It doesn't fill me with excitement

The prospect of replacing Calderwood with anybody has got me excited, at this stage i don't really care who.

Talking to a few soap dodgers I know in the know allegedly , Roy leaving Celtic wasnt all it should be

So no I dont think he would be a good choice as Hibs next boss ,heard this about 6 weeks ago and hoped it would go away.

The only thing that Roy Aitken is the correct answer to, is the old question, which Scottish footballer's father is Jamaican?

If someone gave me a penny for them - I'd sell.
