Interesting appointment Geoff Brown has a good record of picking up good young managers.

He does seem to pick good guys but Lomas has no track record at all. Interestingly that Geoff Brown has a good record in picking managers yet none of them have won anything. Their achievements are promotion and staying in the SPL. Rodders would get pelters if his choices only done that. Yet whilst we have a bigger support and more cash we have regularly finished below them over the years

Doesn't mean that he will be a good manager but came across well on the telly and appears to be a likeable guy. I think he could do well.

Geoff Brown has 3 non-football criteria for his managers that he sees as critical


They must have a good PR capability and comfortable dealing with television and media
They must live locally
They must act as an ambassador for the football club and be seen out and about in the local community


In other words a PR dream
