Is anyone on here a member?

Do you have to be a member to go in for a drink and something to eat? It's on my doorstep and though not really into the gambling scene I thought it might be a half decent place for me and the missus to wander across to.

I have not been for a couple of years but used to go to the restaurant regularly. It was excellent and decent value. I did have to join and I think the requirement was to join one day and then collect membership card at least a day later.

I think it used to be a legal requirement that you needed to wait 24 hours from when you join until you can enter, but i don't think that this applies anymore.

As long as you have a passport and/or photo driving license, you can join and gamble on the same night.

Drop me a PM of what day and time you are thinking of going. Also if you are looking to eat in the restaurant or the bar, drinks only, gambling or a bit of everything. My old man is one of the managers there, so will find out what's required.

You don't need ID unless you look under-21 or if you plan on playing and/or cashing out over a grand on the same night.

I go now and again, mostly for a drink although I occasionally have a we gamble.

It;s perfectly fine for a quiet evening and I'm fairly certain you can join and get in on the same night now.

Take along photo ID and a recent utility bill with your address on it, sign up when you get there and all's well.

You must be VERY close to me then!!

We go over to the Marriott for a nice quiet drink. Not the cheapest but decent enough. I'd rather do that than go to the casino. Lived here 6.5yrs and only been in 3 times.

The Loan!

Yes we quite like the Marriot too, just thought it would be nice to try the casino for a change. What we really need is a pub we can call a local, now that would be perfect.

I live on the Terrace, very close to the junction.

I actually quite like how there's nothing round here that spills out at closing time. I tend to avoid the local boozers and just drink in town. The fiancée likes to do the Marriott on a Friday after work.

I get your point, have lived here for 19 years and love how it's so quiet, it's just sometimes I wish there was a nice local community pub if such a thing exists any more. Was brought up with a pub on our doorstep, the kind were all the neighbours went and everyone knew each other. All our yesterdays and all that!!
