B (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15438961.stm)ack training with Motherwell as a free agent, and says in The Metro this morning that he just wants to get back playing. Would be a revelation in our midfield.

I seriously hope that our management team don't take punts with players who just happen to be available.

It would be wholly irresponsible if they did.

Can you imagine the reaction on here

As far as Hughes is concerned, there's a reason he doesn't have a club and it's either that his demands are too high or his ability is too low. Probably a combination of both.

Wouldn't class him as a punt though, quality player who has been a big success in the SPL before

or he just had his contract terminated by norwich and was injured for most of last season? better than most our midfield we have at the moment.

Worth taking on trial at least? I wouldn't think he's in a position to demand astronomical wages either.

....I really think motherwell will go the distance and get 3rd this year, before their annual kull.
I think he would sit tight there and look good.

Local boy come home (again). Even though he left for Norwich - he never "moved" away.
