I always find it interesting when a song turns out to be a rip off from another band, I am sure we have all heard songs that sound similar to others and nowadays most songs are either samples or covers.

Post any you can think of here its always good for a laugh.

Adam and the Ants biggest hit? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r261LPQ-gO8)

The Hoosiers - "Goodbye Mr A" is extremely similar to ELO's "Mr Blue Sky".

A more recent example - My Chemical Romance recently released a song called "Na na na" where the main riff sounds incredibly like that of the Zutons' "Zuton Fever".

The start of Going for Gold by Shed Seven and In the Ghetto by Elvis always sounded identical to me.

:agree: :tee hee:

Weller is a serial offender (but is, of course, forgiven): The Jam's "Start" = The Beatles' "Taxman" and when he wrote this

he must've been having a good few listens to this

Paul Weller also is responsible for murdering house classic "Promised Land" by Joe Smooth with the Style Council.

Brown Sugar by The Rolling Stones was clearly nicked when you listen to Bohemian Like You by The Dandy Warhols

I used to like this song, after seeing the band at TITP. They'd clearly been watching a btit of Ducktales.

Kid Rock completely ripped off Metallica with their song American Badass; the main riff is exactly the same as Sad But True:

American Badass

Sad but true

Doesn't help that the kid rock lyrics are pretty awful, and mostly, meaningless.

The Beach boys stole everything from Chuck Berry. Literally criminal, got done for it.

Suspicious Minds, it was also ripped off on the 12" version of Come Together by Primal Scream.
