Just seeing about it on the news right now. :bitchy:

This one is about a kid called Alan who was kidnapped by men and they tried to behead him but he was found alive, and was in a coma for 1 month. Other stories about kids aged very young (6,7 etc) maybe younger or older than that being kidnapped and family finding their decapitated bodies. The local witch doctors admit to it but corruption means nothing ever happens to them.

Kidnapping kids and killing them in sick ways for 'belief' or 'ritual'.........it has been going on for decades.........shocking! :bitchy:

and to think there are folk on here who dont believe in the death penalty. ANYONE who does this to a child for whatever reason, should be hung drawn and quartered.

It's shocking and it also goes on in South London to different degrees.
Bodies have been found (including one decapitated body of a young boy in the Thames) and extreme bullying goes on in the churches.

If an African kid gets a bit hyper they call him a witch and take him to the church where they're subjected to intense verbal and physical violence.

It's all connected with the churches incorporating some of the witchdoctor culture.

Horrendous, totally backward, not racist or cultural supremacy, just true.

Scotland was backward at one point point burning any women who dared to act a bit differently.

Good education is the only way these people can be brought up to date but seems it will take many years.

Sorry,but is there any serious evidence that this sort of thing is anything more than one or two isolated incidents? I'm sure it's great ammunition for the Daily Mail brigade, but without any kind of non-anecdotal evidence it looks to me like the beginnings of the well established phenomenon in the world of racism and xenophobia of the "blood libel".

I don't think we'll get anywhere if we make decisions on the death penalty on sheer emotion. The death penalty is a complex subject that deserves a lot more thought than you appear to give it.

I would argue that death for anyone as described above would be more of a 'let off', rather than a punishment; but this isn't the thread for debating that. :wink:
