Horse racing (lucky 31 EW)

Can someone explain to me how this works. I know what a Lucky 31 is. Am just not sure how it works each way. If my horse come second or third will I still get a pay out.

P.S I have a done an Each Way lucky 31 today and so far I have had 2 winners and a second.

As soon as one of your horses doesnt win you are only left with the place part for all your bets.
I think if none of your other selections were placed you'll have 3 singles, 3 doubles and a treble at the place odds.

Got it now mate. Done well, I had 2 winners and 3 placed horses. Happy days.
