Not true. I thought we defended well enough and Stack made a number of decent saves.
However, most of the 2nd half was like a training match for Rangers and they were extremely comfy. We were 2nd best by a long way.

I haven't read any of the other posts in this thread but just gone done watching the game and I still find a lot of what I see distressing. I should have kept notes but how many times did we clear the ball away or take a throw-in and it went right back to Rangers? I wasn't expecting miracles today but it's annoying to see the same happening time and time again. Can we not pass to a man in black? And Stack, almost gifting another goal (but he did make a few great saves). Still a lot of work to be done.

It's clear to see that we need a lot of work. I know we are playing away from home against the league leaders but I see little point in punting the ball out of defence all the time because it's going to come right back to us.
There were times when I saw lots of black shirts defending but nobody making a challenge. Why keep standing off? Even though we outnumbered them when they were on the attack it was pretty easy for them to pass the ball through / around us.
Laferty's goal was a joke. He just ran onto it through a sea of black and almost walked it into the net.

The defence was better. Yeah they had shots but it wasn't often they found a way through the defence with a pass, at least not as easy as of late.

Although going to Ibrox and giving them a good match (from what I heard) can be seen from some as a decent result but considering where we are in the league table , im still looking at it as 3 points dropped. I heard we showed a bit of fight about us but that's no use to us if we are going to just do that at Parkhead and Ibrox. We need to play with some passion every match regardless the opposition.

I don't think the team lacked passion, if we had a more stable defence and some creativity in midfield we could have won the game for sure.

I just felt most games this season the team look like they didn't even bother half the time.

From what I saw with my mate Justin the team look to be on the up, Osbourne especially who has improved vastly since I seen him against Aberdeen (couldn't have got much worse in fairness:greengrin).
Not many teams will take something from Ibrox this season, although it is disappointing not to come away with a point after how the match panned out.

They looked up for it today, quick closing down and a desire to get on the ball, a big improvement on earlier in the season. I think they're growing in confidence as well, which will be absolutely vital if we're going to turn this round permanently.

Yup. Agreed. It's just hard to fathom how we can do some things so badly. Even if we don't find a man in Hibs shirt to throw the ball to (from a throw-in) shouldn't we at least see guys running around looking for space? Boozy was screaming about this exact point on Wednesday.

I'm confident Billy Brown won't stand for the same things CC has, and that we'll see that changed next.
After the mess CC has made of things, it could be to the halfway point in the season before we really see what we're capable of after BB turns things totally around IMO, but we'll get there.

How can you see it as 3 points dropped? FFS we were away from home against the champions of the last 3 years who have only dropped 2 points all season. Hibs worked hard and might have snatched a draw. I actually thought it was one of best performances of the season

:top marks Could not agree more. I have no idea what planet some people are on. Since when did it become such an outrage to lose to Rangers away from him, get a ****ing grip.
We were 20 or so mins away from a draw, created a few chances, played very well in spells all at the home ground of a team that is going to walk the league this year.
They not only have the benefit of a huge budget in comparison to us, but a stadium full of supporters backing them for 90mins. Our support that travelled was great, but the numbers pash.
How can people complain about the standard of Hibs when they are lining the pockets of Rangers by subscribbing to Rangers TV - WTF!!!

I've been one of the most critical people on here of the team this season but I don't think too much criticism off the back of Saturday's performance is very fair.
I thought we played reasonably well, on another day we would have scored at least two goals and I thought we competed quite well for large parts of the game.
The only criticism I would have is that I felt their goal was coming a mile off. I'm glad that Billy Brown has mentioned it on Sportscene last night because we were defending far too deep for a good 5-10 minutes before they finally scored. It was really only a matter of time. You can't invite Rangers onto you for a sustained amount of time at Ibrox and hope to get away with it.
I've no idea if we've finally turned the corner or not but what I do know is that there were several encouraging signs during that 90 minutes on Saturday and we certainly did not disgrace ourselves.
